I think people neglect the presence of the forehead. If anything, people tend to hide their foreheads. Ironic isn’t it, that foreheads would once symbolize someone’s intelligence by the size of it, and yet as time progressed to a more modern era, we hide our foreheads. (Are we hiding our intelligence, or are we being modest?) Of course, there might be the aesthetic reasoning to such doing. Our stylistic preferences in our hair styles and/or the confidence of our facial structure would influence how much of our foreheads is exposed (personally I heavily dislike my forehead aha)

When we stress out, we tend to run our hands through our hair and pull back pieces away from our face as if we can ‘think’ better or ‘see’ better, rather perceive better by slicking back our hairlines granted that we have no third eye on our foreheads

When shown affection by a loved one in a way that is platonic more so than passionately intimate, we get kissed on our foreheads. As if rewarded for our knowledge, our minds, our existence, a kiss to the forehead is affection at its gentlest.

And funny isn’t it, when we correct ourselves or realize our faults to something that should have been bluntly obvious, we tend to smack our palms against our foreheads as if resurrecting some sort of force to spark our rationalities. Like hitting the top of an old television, we can somehow get better connection and a clearer view of the screen. *facepalm”

And lastly, when we go through complications and tribulations under challenging circumstances, our bodies break into sweat and upon our foreheads, we perspire. We wipe the sweat off our foreheads with the back of our hands almost synonymous to wiping the tears from someone’s eyes/cheeks.

Without knowing it, we fail to recognize the forehead and yet we do all these subconscious things to acknowledge it. So yehh we got foreheads, 5heads, and Rihanna-heads, but these -heads…head us into something we wouldn’t have thought of heading before.

Just inspired me to draw up something as always.
